Total Tools Rockingham is looking for a Full-Time General Manager, This is an exciting opportunity to combine the support of a well-established national brand with the flexibility and autonomy of a locally operated business.

As the leader of our store, you'll be responsible for creating an exceptional customer experience, developing a high-performing team, driving sales and profitability, and maintaining outstanding merchandising and operational standards. You'll lead from the front, coach and mentor your team, and play a critical role in shaping the culture and success of the business.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service and sales results.
  • Drive sales, margin and profitability targets while identifying opportunities for business growth.
  • Create and maintain a customer-first culture that consistently exceeds expectations.
  • Manage team performance through regular coaching, feedback, training and development.
  • Ensure the store is presented to the highest merchandising, promotional and operational standards.
  • Monitor stock levels, inventory performance and product availability to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Support customers with expert product advice and resolve escalated enquiries professionally and effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, workplace health and safety requirements and store procedures.
  • Build product and technical knowledge across the team through ongoing training and supplier engagement.
  • Partner with the Store Owner/Franchisee to drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency and overall store success.

  • Minimum 5 years' retail management experience.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales and profitability targets.
  • Strong people and performance management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to process and procedure.
  • A proactive, hands-on leadership style.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and retail management systems.
  • Product and technical knowledge within tools, hardware or industrial products (highly regarded).
